For years, the most viable fact-authentication methods was showing a photo, a video or any other graphic visualization that confirmed that the situation happened. Nowadays, we can encounter more and more fake news with AI-generated photos, which, combined with fast-moving world, tears down that primary wall of trust and makes many people believe the made-up stories. This "Eric Clapton meeting deaf girl" fake story is a prime example of that occurence. When scrolling, at first glance it can appear to look realistic, but upon closer inspection and some prior experience with distinguishing real and AI pictures, it is visible that the attached image was AI generated. What is suprising is the historical accuracy of the image, as Eric is legendary blackie, drawn with correct number of frets as the real one, colors and ornaments.
